Marvel Reveals Villains Names In ‘X Of Swords’

X of Swords

Marvel revealed characters from his new series “X of Swords”. From what you can see, it will be interesting.

The series was created by Jonathan Hickman, Tini Howard, Pepe Larraz, Mahmoud Asrar. From September to November, notebooks from the X of Swords series will be published  , this is another “scrap” from the Marvel X-Man universe.

For those who are not very knowledgeable, I have already explained what I am talking about. Well, long ago there was a living continent of Okkara. Alive because he was a kind of being. But it was divided by an unknown enemy into two living islands – Arakko and Krakoa. (Note that these are all anagrams.) Apocalypse – Okkara’s ally – separated Arakko Island to defeat this enemy. The second of them – the island of Krakoa entered into an alliance with the X-Men who live there and get their energy from modified plants. These lands are still alive. In order to resolve the conflict between the islands once and for all, Omniversal Majestrix, called Saturnyne, decided that the tournament would be held. Such a bloody sport,  only between mutants.

X of Swords  (i.e.  10 swords ) tells about so many mutants and their powerful swords, each of which has a different power. They are Magik, Cable, Cypher, Storm, Wolverine, Betsy and Brian Braddock, Gorgon, as well as Apocalypse. Magneto can also be “shot in 10”, although it is not confirmed.

There must be as many bad guys out of ten good ones. Marvel just showed who it is preparing to slay our brave X-Men: Solem, The White Sword, Pogg Ur-Pogg, Isca the Unbeaten, Redroot the Forest, Bei the Blood Moon, Summoner, War, Death and Annihilation.

Sword-bearers must have looked as dangerous as possible. They had to tell the story of the struggle to survive for millennia; a history of antiquity, deadly violence and brutal beauty

– said artist Pepe Larraz about his designs for the deadly new X-Men enemies of Arakko Island.

When designing them, I combined elements inspired by Egyptian culture, Laambem (martial art from Senegal), Donga (Ethiopian spear fighting), body painting of the Nuba tribe, postmodern minimal fashion, photography by Thierry Le Goues, Maori weapons and biomimicry. And a giant crocodile with four arms …

A lot of these inspirations, but as we know, everything has already been invented before and now you can only combine and remake what was. I wonder what will come out of such a mishmash?

This comic crossover (for the less informed – this term means the inclusion of heroes from different series in a new project) is expected to count 24 episodes, and has already started in September 2020. The issues will be published by November. Would you like to read it?
