GIFs based on the recent trailer have appeared on the series’ official profile in the Tenor app. In one of them we see Emilia Clarke saying “It’s the beginning”. The file is signed with the name Abigail Brand, which means that the actress will most likely play this character. So far, Marvel has not released any confirmation via official channels. In the comics, Abigail is the head of the SWORD agency, a subdivision of the SHIELD dealing with the defense of the Earth against threats from outer space. Its origin is quite interesting. Brand is the fruit of the union of a man from the planet Axus and an earthly woman. In addition, she also inherited a mutant X gene from her mother. How many elements of the genesis of this character will be used in the series is unknown.
In addition to Emilia Clarke, the Secret Invasion will once again feature Samuel L. Jackson as the former boss of SHIELD, Nick Fury. This time, the creator of the Avengers initiative must prevent the conspiracy of foreign invaders. The series will also return, among others Ben Mendelsohn as Talos and Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill.
