Marvel has announced that it has hired a new writer for its upcoming Thunderbolts movie . This information is sure to pique the interest of fans who have been waiting for this team of anti-heroes to appear on the big screen for a long time.
Marvel Studios has hired Lee Sung Jin as a second writer for their upcoming film, Thunderbolts . Black Widow screenwriter Eric Pearson initially wrote the film’s draft. Lee, who has no feature film credits, previously worked with Jake Schreier on the Netflix series Beef , where he was showrunner. Actor Steven Yeun, who also appeared in Beef , will star in Thunderbolts , details of which have yet to be revealed.

I probably should have taken a break, but there are so many themes and exciting things about this movie that I couldn’t resist and signed the deal. It’s a real honor to be part of a Marvel project, but this is different. First of all, it’s not my project, it’s Jake’s project. At the same time, the process feels the same, I still talk to Jake every day… I think when you find a crew of people you love and trust who are so talented, you do everything you can to keep working with them.

What do we know about Thunderbolts ?
As is the rule with Marvel blockbusters , little is known about the Thunderbolts other than the line-up of actors that will be featured in the film. When it was announced last year, the cast featured returning Marvel actors including Sebastian Stan, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Olga Kurylenko, Wyatt Russell, and Hannah John-Kamen. Both Donnie Yen and Ayo Edebiri were cast in undisclosed roles.
Shooting for the film is set to begin in a few months to prepare for a release next summer . The premiere of Thunderbolts is scheduled for July 26, 2024.
