The Immortal Hulk comic book series is slowly coming to an end, but fans of the green strongman will not be left unhappy for long. Marvel Comics has just announced that the hero’s story will get a new cycle.
These plans were announced on Wednesday with the Venom theme and for the end of the series from Al Ewing and Joe Bennett. Donny Cates and artist Ryan Ottley will be responsible for the creation of the new comic, Hulk . As announced, the new title will tell about Brus Banner and his discovery of a rather radical way to control his second incarnation – the Hulk. This could mean the end of his story as well as the beginning of new problems, the consequences of which will be unpredictable.
Cates’ name may sound familiar to Marvel fans. This is because this creator has gained a whole crowd of fans thanks to comic books dedicated to characters such as Venom, Thor, Doctor Strange and Thanos. Ottley, on the other hand, once worked for Marvel Comics as a cartoonist for Amazing Spider-Man.
The first of the creators spoke with optimism about the latest project:
Marvel just gave me the keys to the strongest there is. Haha… oh yeah. You are just not ready for it. You’ll find out soon what happens when Ryan Ottley and I get upset… and guess what? Well… I’m sure you will like us a lot and get angry at the same time.
Given the unpredictability and breakthroughness of Immortal Hulk, it is unknown what fans can expect from the Hulk and what Bruce Banner’s mind will be in. It has not been said whether the Green Door theme and the previous characters accompanying the protagonist will return in the new series. After all, both of these aspects contributed to the success of Immortal Hulk. We will probably find out only on August 14, as part of the upcoming Free Comic Book Day 2021. Fortunately, we could already get to know the cover of the first issue of the upcoming title:
Undoubtedly, more information about the upcoming series will be available soon. The first part of the Hulk will go on sale in November this year, while the last issue of the Immortal Hulk will debut in September.
