The Kult narrative game was first released in 1991 by the now defunct Target Games.
The cult was a splatterpunk horror film aimed at a mature audience and from the very beginning of the game there was a lot of controversy, including a ban on sale. After Kult was released, nothing in the RPG world was the same anymore.
