Maestro Media has announced the game “Hello Kitty”!

Maestro Media has announced Hello Kitty: Day at the Park – a brand new board game designed by Roberta Taylor. It will be on the market next year.

Details about the game are being kept under wraps for now, but the game will be for 2-4 players and is designed for ages 8 and up. Production on the game will begin in September, and fans will be able to influence the final design before its release.

Maestro Media is best known for its adaptation of The Binding of Isaac, as well as the tabletop versions of Bridge Constructor  and  Sally Face. The Hello Kitty series marks new territory for the company. They proved to us that they can create games in their style, and at the same time make them unique.

We are thrilled to be working with Sanrio to bring the new Hello Kitty game directly to fans. We look forward to working directly with millions of fans of the beloved brand around the world, incorporating their ideas and feedback to create a one-of-a-kind experience that the community will love.

said Javon Frazier, founder and CEO of Maestro Media

Hello Kitty has already appeared in many games , although most of them are licensed versions of games such as Uno, Monopoly  and  Labyrinth. This may be the first original game developed in a long time, although several original children’s tabletop games were released in the 2000s, at the height of the pink kitty craze.

Hello Kitty remains a hugely popular franchise with an estimated value of over $8 billion. The strength of the franchise lies in the many licensed projects, and Sanrio has recently limited its TV projects to YouTube shows. New Line is working on a Hello Kitty movie,  although we haven’t had any updates as of 2021.
