Loki is one of the most interesting characters in the MCU. Balancing somewhere between the light and dark side of the force, the hero won not only the hearts but also the interest of fans who enjoyed watching (sometimes worse, sometimes better) the development of his character. Of course, the fact that the iconic, incredibly charismatic and talented Tom Hiddleston also plays the part also contributes to the fact that we all love Loki.
The crafty god has already taught us that it is not so easy to kill him. Although in Avengers: Infinity War (2018) Thanos brutally killed his younger brother in front of Thor, the events of Avengers: Endgame (2019) opened the way for Loki’s return, when he and the Tesseract escaped New York in an alternate timeline of 2012 year, after the battle from the movie Avengers (2012). We know that the fourth phase of the MCU will be based on mixing reality and playing with the multiverse ( WandaVision , Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness ), also the chaotic and cunning character of Loki fits perfectly into it.
The news about the series focused on its character has caused a lot of excitement among fans, and now it seems that it will not end in one season. If the second occurs, its production is to start in January 2022. On the Murphy’s Multiverse website we read:
I hear actors, big and small, are now being proposed to extend their contracts for the likely next season of the show.
And now yes, it must be made clear what that means. Today it still cannot be said that the second season is 100% confirmed. Let’s just say that there are many indications and that such a scenario is the most likely.
Unfortunately, we still do not know when we will see the first episodes of the series. The Marvel Studios premiere calendar has changed significantly due to the pandemic, so we can only hope to see Loki around summer or even fall 2021. The second season would then land sometime in 2023.
Little is known about Loki’s plot , but the symbol on Loki ‘s outfit that we see in the general trailer probably hints at the presence of the Time Variance Authority, a comic book organization that apparently arrested the hero for some kind of timeline interference. We are looking forward to more details.
