Big fish
The first time I look at the cover of a game, the first thing I look for is the name of the creator. In this case, the publisher did not care. You need to look for the author only in the footer. I was pleasantly surprised because Sushi roll was designed by one of my favorite fillers – Gizmos , and its portfolio includes many solid productions, such as: Imhotep , Cocoa , Bear Park . However, I understand basing your marketing on the success of Sushi Go , which is a hit with party games. As I did not have the opportunity to play the prototype, I was happy to test what this nice guy from Sydney had prepared for us.
Like a fish in water
The game is played over three rounds. At the beginning of each of them, the players draw the appropriate number of dice (different depending on the composition). After rolling the dice, they go to the tape (each player has his own) and are later selected by the players. Then, when the queue is over, the tapes move and this process continues until the dice are finished. This is followed by scoring and after the third time the game is over. There are 5 types of dice, and the layout of each of them is given to players at the beginning of the game. Some will benefit you right away, while others will bring you or take away points for the last time you count them. There are 2 more types of tokens that can be used to influence the randomness of the game. It itself is fluid, downtimevery low, and basically unlimited replayability. Scaling is also very fine – a two-player game is more predictable, and in a larger group it is harder to get the cube you want. I recommend playing with three players and up. The game takes about 15-20 minutes. It is worth remembering that this is a filler and as such should be considered, and the game itself lasts about 15-20 minutes.
As fit as a fiddle
I have decided to devote a separate paragraph to the implementation. Let’s start with the main point of the program – cubes. They are legible, colorful and, in my opinion, very nice. Preparing for the review, I did a little crash test on them and I don’t see any major signs of wear on them. Well done! The bag from which the dice are selected is also nice and tidy. I can’t really stick to cardboard components. Obviously, you would like something more, but it would have a significant impact on the price of the product. It is fast, colorful and pleasant. It is a really decent fillerek and I encourage you to reach for it. It is difficult for me to find any specific disadvantages of this production. I know that encouraged, I will now reach for the previous game in the series and see if it is just as good.
