Carnage vs. Venom!
Carnage. Black, White and Blood is a collection of twelve 11-page stories. Each story is a different screenwriter and cartoonist. And as it is with collective works, you can come across better and worse comics. Tom opens with a Love Story in which Carnage tells what is stored in his muscular memory. In the meantime, he fights with the heroes and looks for his girlfriend. In my opinion, it turned out very chaotic. This comic completely missed me, so much so that I read it again to make sure it didn’t really have something more to offer. End of the Trail and My name is Carnagedepict the birth of the title character in the Wild West and in a frosty land. Both are even interesting, but are basically identical in their assumptions. Another group of creators decided to weave into the history of Venom. Carnage shark . Sea of Blood , Carnage’s Legacy features epic clashes between red and black symbiotes taking place in the city and even on a pirate ship! The Convention , on the other hand, focuses on Carnage fans who came to the convention of comic book lovers! In My Red Hands , however , the screenwriter focused on the relationship between the child and the symbiote.
One great slaughter
A love story in my opinion is a misfire, the other seven comics mentioned in the previous paragraph are average. So it’s time for the top four. The comic entitled Under the skin showed in an interesting way the madness tormenting Cletus Kasady. In The End of Humanity, however, Ed Brisson very efficiently introduced Carnage to the post-apocalyptic world, and I like such climates a lot! But by far the two best comics in this collection are Nobody Survived and Carnage is You. The first one perfectly shows that Cletus Kasady can completely destroy the psyche of another person. However, the second mentioned item turned out to be a paragraph comic! Thanks to it, everyone can see how difficult it is to control the red symbiote. It was truly an epic adventure for me! Very interesting and extremely engaging. Although to tell the truth, so far I am considering one treatment. I don’t know if it was a deliberate act or if it is a mistake.
Three colors of madness
Carnage fits perfectly into a comic book based on only three colors. The red symbiote looks wonderful in all the frames. I especially liked it as a huge, voracious shark. Again, I would stick to The Love Story , and more specifically to the chaotic, sometimes not very detailed frames. Surprisingly, the story of Carnage I liked the most in terms of graphics. Terrible scenes take place in the individual frames, the fight is epic, and the appearance and actions of Carnage are truly terrifying. I have no major objections to the issue. It is worth adding that at the end there are a lot of diverse and beautiful covers.
Is the symbiote under control?
The cover already catches the eye and encourages you to read this volume! However, the content is different. I wish there had been at least one longer comic. Nevertheless, apart from the fatal Love Storythere are some interesting, action-packed mediocre people, as well as some intriguing comic books focused on the theme of madness. There is nothing left for me to do but finally to praise Al Ewing again, who had a genius idea to let the readers play the role of the host of the murderous symbiote. The formula worked out great for me. I thought I’d make fun of the description that said “chilling stories”, but in the end, I have to admit that some of the stories made me feel uncomfortable. After all, Carnage is undoubtedly a nasty, disgusting, but somewhat intriguing character.
