The best adventure game of 2020 is coming to consoles soon. Take on the role of a legendary charmer, put on a goodie, brush your balding hair and set off in search of love in the tropical Kalau Archipelago.
Assemble Entertainment – publisher of Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Dry Twice – announced May 18the game will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The game will also be launched on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S due to backward compatibility. However, it can be suspected that it will be available – just like the computer edition – in the Polish, cinema language version. Both a digital version and a boxed edition are planned, although it is not known if it will be available in Poland. Players will also be able to buy the Save The World edition, which will be a bit more expensive, but the surplus will be used to buy two meals for starving children. The publisher of the game – Assemble Entertainment has established cooperation with the ShareTheMeal organization, which struggles with the problem of hunger in the world on a daily basis. As part of the cooperation, the idea of releasing an additional edition of the game called Save The World was born. Part of the funds from each copy of this issue sold will be allocated to the purchase of two dinners for starving children, and players who decide to do so receive additional access to the soundtrack and the artbook. So far, we do not know the Polish prices of the Larry console. It was only stated that the digital version will cost $ 44.99. At the moment, the price of the PC version on Steam is PLN 127.99. The Save the World edition costs PLN 164.49.
The PC version of Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Dry Twice won the title of the Best Adventure Game of 2020 in the Adventure Game of the Year (AGOTY) poll. The game debuted on PCs on October 23 last year and received quite decent ratings from reviewers (the average according to Metacritic is 7.3 / 10) and average from players (5.6 / 10).
Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Dry Twice is a continuation of the cult series of adventures about a balding seducer. Its first part, entitled In the land of vanity, debuted in 1987. Nine sequels were released in later years. A characteristic element of all games with Larry in the lead role is a crude sense of humor and numerous references to sex. Let us note, however, that in the latest installment we will not experience nudity, which would make it a game “for adults only”. According to PEGI, only people aged 16 and over should play it. The main character is Larry Laffer, an elderly man who devoted his life to quite ineptly picking up women. Things did not enable it to facilitate the fact that while the world moved forward, he still remains mentally in the ’80s history presented in the Leisure Suit Larry: Dry Wet Dreams Twiceis a continuation of the previous part of the cycle. Larry and Faith are about to get married. Unfortunately, fate is not kind to the protagonist. Just before the ceremony, he is separated from his beloved. To find her. he goes to the Kalau Archipelago.
