To whom is the way …
The BOSZ publishing house has been publishing books from the Legendar series for several years now . Thanks to them, we can learn a lot about Polish legends and creatures in which our ancestors believed. So far, you could read Legends of Carpathian castles , The Book of Polish Dragons or Ghosts of Polish cities and castles . Each of the books was richly illustrated and certainly aroused the interest of fantasy fans. Personally, I used the Slavic Bestiary to gain inspiration and diversify my RPG sessions. This time we have Atlas Legend. This is the first volume of a series presenting us with stories from Polish towns and villages. At the beginning, we will find out what stories circulate in the Dolnośląskie, Lubuskie, Opolskie, Śląskie and Wielkopolskie provinces. The book can also serve as a guide when visiting various places. Thanks to it, you will find out, for example, where the primate, who Dorothy were, who takes night baths in Obra or where to go to the devil’s feast. The creator made our task much easier – in addition to the description of the legend, we also get an address where to look for the place of the event or the whereabouts of a strange creature. We are very curious if our friends from Gorzów Wielkopolski, the editors of LandsbergON , know who was haunting at 3 Generała Władysława Sikorskiego Street?
There is something to look at
Atlas Legend is, above all, an interesting reading, as well as an unusual, but how wonderful guide. Its creator, Paweł Zych, took care not only of the content, but also of the appearance. The cover itself, showing the map with buildings, people and fantastic creatures, is eye-catching. It also looks very good inside. If you already own one of the Legendar series books , you know what to expect and you won’t be disappointed. Beautiful drawings not only show how a given creature was imagined, but also contain a pinch of humor and with some of the pictures it’s impossible not to smile. Maps of provinces and cities with legends marked on them also look great. Another plus is the fact that pages in Atlas Legendthey look like parchment from the old days. Slightly stained and yellowed, and rough to the touch. This is certainly the thing that will give you the right atmosphere while reading the manual.
To the adventure!
Atlas Legend is an extremely interesting manual for all those who like to travel and would like to visit more unusual places or add a few points to their maps during their journeys. Fantasy fans should also be satisfied. When visiting a city, they will be able to check what kind of creature once prowled there. Or maybe they will use some fragment during RPG games? It is also a great gift for history fans. Thanks to the book, they will probably learn some interesting things that are not mentioned in other textbooks. The author once again shares his passion with readers, entertains, teaches and intrigues. The graphic design is another great plus of this item. So don’t hesitate and go for Atlas Legend!! Personally, I am looking forward to the next volumes and curiosities from other provinces, including mine – Łódź.
