It’s been 8 years since the release of LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham , and today the internet has been informed that work on the fourth installment of the popular series is said to be underway. LEGO games have been very popular for years, mainly thanks to their accessibility for people of all ages and the transfer of iconic franchises to the world of bricks. Marvel, DC, Star Wars or The Lord of the Rings are just a few examples. Each edition so far has been positively received. LEGO games have been sticking to one gameplay formula for years, but over the years it has evolved, becoming more complex, multi-layered and enriched with new mechanics from title to title.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has introduced major changes to the combat system, and it is to be hoped that TT Games will follow suit. As noted by PlayStation Lifestyle , there was a comment below the Fanbyte article about the internal state of TT Games. The developers have allegedly canceled many projects, including LEGO Disney , albeit two of which are still active. The team is reportedly working on LEGO Batman 4 and The Mandalorian expansion for The Skywalker Saga. There is no confirmation at the moment, although former TT Games employee Stephen Sharples has kind of done it. This is indicated by his words that there are ‘more leaks than in a f***ing sieve’. It was, of course, about TT Games.

As above, the last LEGO Batman was released in 2014, while in 2018 the Dark Knight appeared in LEGO DC Super-Villains . Anyway, a lot of time has passed since Batman’s last adventures in the LEGO universe. So far, there’s not even an official announcement about the fourth LEGO Batman (perhaps it’s a false rumor). If the reports are true, the project is certainly at a very early stage of development and you will have to wait even a few years for its premiere. Anyway, it’s worth following the actions of TT Games now.
