During Silent Hill Transmission, the famous game publisher revealed new projects with the title town. There are three games, a full-length film and an interactive production.
The event was opened with the first trailer of the remake of the cult Silent Hill 2 . A team from the Bloober Team studio in Krakow, which previously made games such as Blair Witch or The Medium , is working on the title . The game will initially be released only on PlayStation 5 and PC. After a year, it will also be released on other platforms.
The second project announced is a completely new installment of the series entitled Silent Hill: Townfall . The production is being developed at Annapurna Interactive and the No Code studio. Unfortunately, there is no information about the game itself, the platforms it will hit or the release date yet. Jon McKellan, who works on the title, only suggested that we will find out more in the new year.
The third production is the continuation of the 2006 film. The movie, entitled Return to Silent Hill , will be directed again by Christophe Gans. Victor Hadida is to perform the role of the producer once again. The main inspiration for this project is to be Silent Hill 2 . The release date has not yet been given here.
Silent Hill: Ascension , this is the fourth of the announced productions. It is developed in cooperation with Genvid, Bad Robot Games (founded by JJ Abrams), Behavior Interactive studio (creators of Dead by Daylight ) and DJ2 Entertainment. Ascension is described as an interactive experience where fans will be able to influence the course of events and shape the entire world of Silent Hill . The production, divided into episodes, is to debut next year.
Finally, a rather mysterious trailer for the game called Silent Hill f . The action of the title is to be set in Japan in the 1960s. The writer Ryukishi07 is to be responsible for the script. Characters and monsters will design a kera. The producer is Motoi Okamoto, and the whole thing is to be created in the NeoBards Entertainment studio. Also, no release date was given for this game.
