So far, the movie based on the “Borderlands” series of games has been pretty quiet since its announcement. So far, only the role of Lilith has been confirmed, but new reports point to another character.
The Illuminerdi portal, citing anonymous sources, reported that Kevin Hart could join the adaptation of the famous RPG shooter series. The actor best known for his roles in comedies would play Roland, a soldier who was one of the playable characters in the first installment of Borderlands . The hero returned in later parts, but only as an unplayable character.
These reports have not yet been confirmed, so take them with a pinch of salt. However, if they turn out to be true, it can be said to be quite a surprise. Anyone who played the first Borderlands will surely remember Roland as a stoic hero without a great sense of humor. If Hart did get the role and the character didn’t get drastically reworked for a movie, it would be a big departure for the actor from his typical comedy characters.
So far, we know for sure that Cate Blanchett will play the role of Lilith. The director of the picture is Eli Roth. There is still no information on when the movie will have its premiere.
