On the morning of July 12, 2020, Kelly Preston, adored wife and mother, died after battling breast cancer for two years. She was a bright, beautiful and loving soul who cared deeply for others and who brought life to everything she touched. Her family asks that their privacy be respected at this time.

In a touching post on Instagram, the husband of the actress John Travolta joined the words of a family representative:

With a heavy heartache, I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer. She fought a brave fight with the support of many people. (…) Kelly’s love and life will remain in our memories forever. I will take the time to be with my mother-lost children now.

Kelly Preston was an American actress and model. At the age of 16, she began her modeling career. She made her screen debut in the thriller Ten Minutes Midnight (1983) starring Charles Bronson. A breakthrough in his film career was the role of Marnie Mason in the comedy Twins (1988) opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito.
