A casting notice for the casting of a new Batwoman has leaked to the network. It shows that the next actress to wear the cape will no longer play Kate Kane. The name of the character given to the candidates – Ryan Wilder – is certainly not the final one that will be used in the series.
According to the description given in the note, the heroine is supposed to be disorganized, a bit goofy and uncontrollable. She won’t be the opposite of Bruce Wayne’s cousin at all. Before she starts fighting crime, she herself has to stay on the verge of the law and evade the police many times. She is also trained in hand-to-hand combat, which makes her very dangerous. The common denominator between both characters is sexual orientation. Ryan will also be a lesbian.
It is true that no one has yet confirmed these reports, but after some time this information was removed from the forums. We will probably have to wait at least a few more weeks for the official confirmation. Certainly, the creators of the series will have to hurry with the selection of a new actress if they want to make it before the start of shooting for the second season.
So far, it is not known who would replace Ruby Rose. Certain groups of fans would love to see Batwoman from the Krypton series , Wallis Day, in the role .
