“A Million Stars In The Sky Shines” is an iconic piece by Leigh Harline (music) and Ned Washington (lyrics) for the 1940 classic Pinocchio animation. In the original, the song was performed by Cliff Edwards, who played Hipolit Świerszcz, and in the Polish version it was performed by Kazimierz Brusikiewicz. In the new, acting version of “Pinocchio”, at the stage of the script, it was decided that, unlike the 1940 version, the song would not be performed by Hipolit Świerszcz, but by the Blue Fairy, who fulfills Gepett’s dream of having a son. The author of the words for the Polish version of the work is Włodzimierz Krzemiński.
Academy Award® winner Robert Zemeckis directs a new version of the beloved tale of a wooden puppet who embarks on an adventurous journey to become a real boy. Tom Hanks takes on the role of Geppett, the woodcarver who builds and treats Pinocchio (Benjamin Evan Ainsworth) as his own son. Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays Hippolytus the Cricket, who is not only Pinocchio’s guide, but also his “conscience”. The Blue Fairy is played by Academy Award® nominee Cynthia Erivo, and Luke Evans is the coachman.
In the Polish language version, the voices were voiced by: Krzysztof Wakuliński as Gepetto, Antoni Jędrak as Pinocchio, Wojciech Paszkowski as Hipolit Świerszcz and Monika Urlik as the Blue Fairy.
A new, acting version of the classic Pinocchio story can only be viewed on Disney + .
