The director of the newest Suicide Squad appreciated the work of John Ostrander, the creator of the new “The Suicide Squad”. Appreciated so much that the writer will appear in the film!
John Ostrander is an actor and comic book writer. He collaborated with DC Comics at, among others Batman , Catwoman , from Marvel Comics, writing texts in X-Men, Quicksilver and Punisher comics . At the turn of the 1980s and 1990s, he wrote several dozen titles about the Suicide Legion .
In his youth, he almost became a priest, but chose a career as a theater actor. After a while, he changed his industries again and began to be successful in the graphic novel market. He co-authored the form Grimjacka , Supergirl , and of course the new Suicide Squad .
The history of this group of anti-heroes is quite long by American conditions. It started at the end of the 1950s. It was created by Robert Kanigher and Ross Andru. At first she didn’t stand out with anything special, just a simple squad consisting of Rick Flag Jr., his girlfriend Karen Grace, Dr. Hugh Evans and Jess Bright. It was only when John Ostrander took up this topic after nearly 20 years that he transformed them into what we see today – a team of twisted characters sent on suicide missions.
Characters that he created or co-created, such as Amanda Waller, Rick Flag, Captain Boomerang, and even Weasel and Javelin – will appear in the film. The writer himself will also play!

Gunn even has an entire collection of graphic novels starring Ostrander.
Dr. Fitzgibbon has already appeared in the director’s previous films as an episodic character. I wonder if he will expand this role in the latest film?
The film is supposed to be ready, without the need for nuts, but it will not be released until August 2021. As long as the cinemas are open …
