After three phases of the MCU, Clint Burton’s story will finally be deepened. While the details of the series are not yet known, it seems Jeremy Renner has already started working on the set of Hawkeye.
Clint Barton is one of the Avengers’ most underrated members. At the same time, the character’s past is still largely shrouded in mystery, and all we really know about him is the theme of the family farm and what Natasha revealed in some movies (especially the Avengers from 2012). Clint lost his family to Thanos’ attack in Avengers: Infinity War (2018) which added another line of character development, and we all remember the condition Romanoff found him in Avengers: Endgame (2019).
The Hawkeye series is intended to deepen Barton’s character and show us what he is capable of. We don’t know yet what the production will focus on in terms of plot, but it looks like the shooting itself has finally started. The beginning of work has been announced for some time in the second half of November, and on Monday afternoon on Instagram of Jeremy Renner (Clint Barton) a photo appeared in a visible make-up.
Not only is the hairstyle familiar (the same one we saw in Avengers: Endgame ), but the scars and bandages themselves. Fans very quickly caught the resemblance to Barton’s appearance in the comics.
We know that comic book inspiration will be heavily used in the series. This fact is very pleasing to the fans, as the cinematic Clint was always more… well, cinematic, not only pushed to the background, but also created for the cinema screen. This time around, and which seems commonplace for the plans for Phase 4 of the MCU, the image and adventures of our favorite archer will be much more comic-based. There are already rumors that the serial Barton will have, according to the canon, hearing problems or we will see him completely deaf. Another clue Renner himself has posted on his Twitter profile, uploading an accelerated video of how the makeup team casts his face. Fans suspect that perhaps it is needed to create a mask, for the keystone of the comic book.
Hawkeye will be coming to Disney + in 2021. We know only Renner and Hailee Steinfeld (Kate Bishop) from the confirmed cast. Clint’s plot will also be taken in Black Widow , where we will finally find out what happened during the mysterious mission in Budapest .
