Attempts to adapt the film to Kruk have been going on since 2008. The comic book about the death angel who rises from the grave to avenge the death of his beloved had already been made in a film version in 1994. The main role was played by Brandon Lee (the actor died on the set), and the director was Alex Proyas. The remake encountered all possible problems on the way of its implementation: with the script, financing, legal issues and, ultimately, the loss of the main role and director.
Jason Momoa stopped being involved in the production of The Raven in 2018, but fans have definitely not forgotten about him. The film Aquaman and director Corin Hardy then had a quarrel with producer Samuel Hadida and the project collapsed. The film was titled The Crow Reborn and the filmmakers revealed pictures of Jason Mamoy in the make-up of the angel of death.
