2021 is a very lucky year for the finances of the Japanese publishing house Shueisha. The released report shows that the company recorded a record profit of more than $ 400 million.
Twitter user ManganiMY and blog creator Manganime Malaysia shared a translation of Shueishi’s annual financial report. It shows that from June 1, 2020 to May 31, 2021, the publisher of the weekly Shōnen Jump had as much as $ 416 million (approximately PLN 1,620,132,800) of net income.

- Books: 17,800 trillion yen ($ 161.84 million) [+ 72.4%]

Shueisha was founded in 1925 as the entertainment division of Shōgakukan publishing house. A year later, it broke off from the Shōgakukan and became completely independent, and various manga magazines started appearing under his arm. On July 2, 1968, the weekly magazine with shōnen comics – Shūkan Shōnen Jump ( Weekly Shonen Jump ) was published for the first time . Currently, it is one of the oldest manga magazines in Japan.
