There is more and more movement around the adaptation of the popular shooter series. Just a few weeks after the announcement that Kevin Hart will play in the film, we have more casting news. This time the star will join the cast, incl. horror series “Halloween”.
Jamie Lee Curtis will star in the adaptation of Borderlands directed by Elia Roth. The Deadline website was the first to inform about it. Curtis is the third world star to join the cast of the film. In addition to her, we will also see Cate Blachett as Lilith, and the aforementioned Kevin Hart will play Roland.
Often associated with horror movies, the actress will play the role of Dr. Patricia Tannis, an archaeologist looking for the treasury of the ancient Eridian civilization on the planet Pandora. In the film, Lilith and Mermaid are linked by a complicated past. In games, Tannis is an independent character whose fate cannot be managed personally by the players.
Not much is known about the project itself. In addition to information about the next cast members, it is known that shooting for the picture is expected to start this year in Hungary. The release date of the film remains unknown.
