On Wednesday, on Twitter, James Gunn confirmed rumors that he is directing the latest Superman: Legacy . It will hit cinemas on July 11, 2025! See what else is happening at DC Studios.
James Gunn recently revealed that he is writing the script for a new Superman movie , but is also considering directing it. However, nothing else has been confirmed. He then revealed DC Studios, his and Peter Safran’s plan, which included the upcoming Superman: Legacy, as well as many other projects ranging from television, animation and movies. Recently, Tom King said that Gunn will indeed be shooting Superman: Legacy. The director was silent on social media until he officially confirmed the rumors on Wednesday. In a new tweet, the DC Studios co-founder revealed the news, but also revealed that the release date is his father’s birthday.

The next big movie the studio will release will be Shazam! Fury of the Gods, March 17. Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line describe the film as follows:
