I Am Jesus Christ is an emerging simulator (or rather a parody of it) that will allow players to assume the role of the Son of God himself. The goal of the game will be to perform miracles and study portions of the Bible. You will have to wait a little longer for the premiere, but those interested in the title for the first time will have the opportunity to test it soon. Developer SimulaM along with publisher PlayWay announced plans this week to release a free prologue of the game, which will be released in December. We heard about the unusual simulator a few years ago, when the first trailer was published . Along with the announcement of the free-to-play demo, a new trailer was released and the information that the full game is to be released next year was confirmed.
If you haven’t kept up with all the I Am Jesus Christ news , you can start by watching the prologue trailer below, which shows players controlling Jesus and performing miracles, such as symbolically turning water into wine or healing the sick. According to the developers, the full version of the game is expected to take over 10 hours and will lead Christ through mountains, deserts and waters (in the latter we can still talk about a walking tour, after all, it is Jesus). The prologue will be about a 1-hour gameplay fragment and will be released on December 1.
I Am Jesus Christ: Prologue is a free-to-play game that showcases the features that will be available in the full version. Travel back in time over two thousand years and follow the same path as Jesus Christ, from baptism to resurrection. Inspired by stories from the New Testament, I Am Jesus Christ is a simulator like no other.
During the trailer seen above, we see the player controlling the character of the Messiah, performing a variety of tasks, such as helping fishermen catch fish, turning water into wine for the ‘Wine Manager’, and other missions based on biblical events. Miracles are accomplished with the use of the ‘power of the Holy Spirit’, which is the equivalent of mana, which must be recharged before Jesus can continue to help. There are also concepts in the game such as ‘Prayer Locations’ and marking targets with ‘God Ray’, which is referred to by PlayWay’s announcement of ‘brand new concepts working in tandem with timeless stories’.
We do not yet know the exact release date of I Am Jesus Christ , although it is expected to be in the second quarter of 2023, while the free prologue presented here will be released on December 1. All via the Steam platform .
