This year’s Summer Game Fest has come to an end, and the players, along with the event, received announcements of several new productions and novelties from the already announced titles. One of the latter was the Elden Ring , which got the trailer and the release date announced.
After keeping fans tense for a long time, FromSoftware ( Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Dark Souls, Bloodborne ) has finally revealed that his latest erpeg will be released on January 21, 2022. The players had to wait a long time for this, because for the first time we could hear about the Elden Ring at E3 2019, when the title was announced.
But he has been in development since 2017, with the collaboration between Hidetaki Miyazaki ( Dark Souls ) and writer George RR Martin ( A Song of Ice and Fire ) playing a significant role . However, we have not been able to find out the details of this production: so far, a lot of information about the game has not been released. Therefore, we can additionally enjoy the fact that during the Summer Game Fest FromSoftware not only revealed the release date, but also shared the first trailer of the Elden Ring with players . It presents not only the beauty of the vast game world, additionally emphasized by great graphics, but also impressive-looking opponents. You can see for yourself:
All plot details remain shrouded in mystery, but it is likely that the Elden Ring will have some features in common with Dark Souls . As in the series, players will have the opportunity to create their own character in the upcoming title, and in the background of their adventures, music composed by Yuka Kitamura (known from Dark Souls). But they will certainly be able to expect a much larger, open world, which will often require horseback riding to traverse. And since the award-winning Miyazaki and the no less talented Martin worked on the project, presumably the story itself will maintain an equally high level as its envelope. Especially since the latter is behind the legends on which the entire presented world is based.
This immersion will be added by natural weather effects and changes in the time of day and night, thanks to which players will fully feel a part of the Elden Ring reality . They will experience it all as they traverse grassy plains, dense forests, soaring mountains, stuffy swamps and even castles. On horseback, on foot, alone or with other players online, it’s up to them to decide. So is the way they will fight the next fierce battles – openly, from stealth, and with a variety of weapons.
As announced by the developers, the upcoming title will be available on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as well as the latest generation consoles and, of course, the PC itself. And all this on January 21, 2022.
