We wrote about the upcoming PlayStation show here. As previously announced, during the 20-minute event we could watch as much as 13 minutes of gameplay by the upcoming title – a continuation of the famous Horizon Zero Dawn from 2017. The sequel will take us back to a world where civilization has developed back into prehistory. The main character, as in the case of the previous part, will be the red-haired Aloy. This time, however, the action will take place in a new location, on the west coast of North America.
If you haven’t had time to see the newest gameplay from the game yet, be sure to catch up. Below you will find an excerpt from the State of Play. It depicts the gameplay on PlayStation 5, but if you stay true to the previous generation, don’t worry: the title will also be available on PlayStation 4.
From the moment the title was announced, its creators from time to time share with fans new materials and information from the production. Less than a year ago, the first trailer of the game appeared, and recently some screenshots of the game were made available on the web. From Ashly Burch, who voices the main character, we also heard the promise that Forbidden West would be even better than its predecessor.
On the occasion of the game’s show, Mathijs de Jonge, director of Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West, spoke about its possibilities :
Horizon Forbidden West includes new weapons that are designed to be unique and play a special role in the fight against machines and human opponents. The adaptive triggers of the DualSense pads will allow us to feel the uniqueness and satisfaction of using them even more.
Guerrilla Games is one of the developers who appreciated the influence of the PS5 Dual Sense controller on the gameplay experience. Horizon Forbidden West will use adaptive pad triggers so that each of the weapons chosen by players will convey a different experience of use.
The upcoming game is to be an exclusive title for PlayStation consoles, but the detailed release date is still unknown.
