Is Black Noir from “The Boys” still alive? Pictures from the set reveal a new look!

Last year’s third season of the series turned out to be a huge hit around the world. Pictures from the set of the upcoming sequel have already been posted on Twitter. Among them appeared brutally murdered by Homelander Black Noir. Will his character return?

The bar for the upcoming season of The Boys has been set very high. No one expected that the third of them would gain the greatest popularity and viewership. Recently, behind-the-scenes materials from the fourth part have appeared on social media. It turns out that they include Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell), who was brutally murdered by Homelander (Antony Starr) at the end of last season. Look below:

Is the character returning to the show?

Eric Kripke revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that it’s about a completely new character played by the same actor in the same costume:

This is definitely not the last time we see Black Noir as a hero. It’s just that the guy who was inside the Noir costume in season 3 is dead. But we have Nathan, who plays a really interesting and great character who wears that costume next season. We’ll delve into that over the course of the season, but Nathan plays a whole new character.

Nathan Mitchell himself also referred to the matter:

Everyone has seen a very stoic version of Black Noir, so if they were to do something new, I think it would be nice to go in the opposite direction. I think contrast is really interesting wherever you’re dealing with characters, and the foundation of Black Noir, for me, has always been contrast. You’ve got this super intense killer that’s menacing and scary and dangerous and then… sort of dealing with cartoons. He has imaginary friends and is really soft and sensitive.

The president (Jeff Frost) and co-president (Jason Clodfelter) of Sony Pictures Television said in an official statement:

The producers and cast of The Boys prove year after year that there is no bar they can’t jump over. We are incredibly proud of this brilliant and subversive series that bends many genres. Our relationship with Prime Video is more than a partnership, it’s more of an extended family. Everyone here at Sony Pictures Television is grateful to join Prime Video and Eric Kripke for another successful season.

All episodes of The Boys are currently streaming only on Prime Video!
