Last month, it was reported that Indiana Jones and the Shield of Destiny could have its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.

Organizers have confirmed that not only will the film premiere at the event, but a special tribute to Harrison Ford’s impressive career will also be paid. The occasion will likely also serve as a way to honor the actor as well as producer Steven Spielberg and composer John Williams, as all three have made their mark on the film industry over the last five decades, thanks in large part to their work on the Indiana Jones series . It premieres at the Cannes Film Festival on May 18 before hitting theaters on June 30.

In 1995, I had the honor of coming to Cannes with my first Director’s Fortnite film. Twenty-eight years later, I am proud to return with a slightly bigger spectacle. My legendary associates and I are very excited to share with you the brand new and final Indiana Jones adventure!

director James Mangold said in a statement

In addition to Ford , it also stars Phoebe Waller-Bridge ( Fleabag ), Antonio Banderas ( Pain and Glory ), John Rhys-Davies ( Raiders of the Lost Ark ), Toby Jones ( Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom ), Boyd Holbrook ( Logan ), Ethann Isidore ( Mortel ) and Mads Mikkelsen ( Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore ). Directed by James Mangold, the film was produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall and Simon Emanuel and executive produced by Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. John Williams, who has written the music for every adventure since the first Raiders of the Lost Arkin 1981, once again composed the soundtrack.
