The opening sequence to the as-yet-untitled fifth Indiana Jones film will use modern technology to digitally ‘rejuvenate’ Harrison Ford , giving fans a glimpse into the younger, more familiar face of the world’s most famous archaeologist. Led by the main character, who is a former Nazi, Indiana Jones 5 will take us to the 1940s, probably to explain the context of the antagonist’s actions, after which the action will move to 1969. A similar procedure has already been done by the third film, The Last Crusade, which begins with the story of teenage Henry Jones Jr., after which the plot returns to the reality of the 1930s. However, the flashback had little to do with the main plot of the film, and now it is very possible that the fifth film will attach more importance to the plot of flashbacks than was the case previously.
The first installment, or Raiders of the Lost Ark , was set in 1936, but the second film, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom , was actually a prequel, taking place a year earlier in 1935. The final installment of the original trilogy, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade , began in 1912 with River Phoenix as a young Indiana, then fast-forward 26 years to 1938. The Fourth Kingdom of the Crystal Skull takes place in 1957, where Indy and his old love, Marvon Ravenwood, finally get married. Indiana wears her wedding ring in footage from the set of five now available.

I hope there’s at least some talk about it in the tech category, you just watch it and you’re like, ‘Oh my god, they just found this stuff. They must have shot it 40 years ago. We throw ourselves right into an adventure, something Indy is looking for, and you immediately feel, ‘I’m in an Indiana Jones movie.’
