I like when my tummy is scratched – comic book review “Garfield. Fat cat’s three-pack ”vol. 6

This is the sixth volume about the adventures of Garfield’s striped cat. The animal will again have to face a cruel reality, elements of which are, for example, Mondays that fall out more than once a week and the lack of favorite food. The sixth volume of The Fat Cat Three Packs is even more fun. It is impossible to get bored in the company of Garfield.

Garfield fills up : It’s safe under the quilt

On the intelligence scale – created by Garfield – cats are in the highest position. Then there is a food processor, a human, a monkey, a hen, a not-so-brilliant stone (!), A dog, a snail and an amoeba. Such a hierarchy clearly shows that Odie does not belong to the group of the most intelligent creatures, at least according to the title character. Garfield believes that “stones evolved from dogs,” and there’s no doubt about that. In addition, it turns out that among the cat’s favorite activities, another one can be distinguished: fishing. Despite the fact that Jon fails to catch anything, the heroes spend their time in the water for a nap, a long nap. Garfield hungry for news : I’m a virtuoso, and that’s my repertoire

In the second part of the sixth volume of the Fat Cat Three-PackGarfield realizes his own weight is too heavy. Changes in a cat’s body are noticed by both household members and strangers. One of the children compares a cat to an elephant, but his mother points out to him that the striped creature does not have a trunk. At night, Jon’s protégé watches horror movies, and during the day he sleeps in unlimited amounts. The life of the pet owner is not as slow and steady. While Jon takes short naps with his “kids,” as Garfield and Odie call him, he also makes multiple dates. Unfortunately, neither of them bodes well for a long-term male-female relationship. Garfield spreads his waist : I don’t like being bored

The title cat is lazy, it’s true, but he sucked it out with his mother’s milk. As we learn from the third part of the series, Garfield’s grandfather did not get up at all to take his time, instead he was lying on the floor and throwing a false jaw at the refrigerator. Jon’s ward is more and more aware that he has no strength for any activities, even the smallest ones. So he often sleeps with his head in a bowl of food. Garfield repeats that although his spirit is eager, his body remains too greasy. Moreover, he no longer fits in the mirror, which does not improve his attitude towards himself. He scrupulously hides his true importance from Jon. Climbing the weight measuring device, he hides under the blanket. It’s worth noting that this part features another famous dog, Snoopy. When Garfield looks in the mirror, he sees this hero in the reflection. It’s a nice nod to fellow comic book writer Charles M. Schulz. At this point, I would like to smile at my colleague from the editorial office, Krzysztof Dzieniszewski. It was he who reminded me that Jim Davis and Schulz knew each other well. What I especially love about Garfield’s Volume 6 Adventures are the fun single-window stories at the top of the page. Most often, the heroes of the Fat Cat Three Pack series are dressed up, make silly faces or travel back in time. Garfield, Odie, Jon, Nermal and Arlene are already well known to the readers of Fatty Cat Three Packs , but their comical creations in the latest volume will surely surprise many recipients.
