Even though Groot has become an adult in the latest Guardians of the Galaxy , that doesn’t mean we can’t see a version of Baby Groot! Marvel Studios has announced the second season of I Am Groot . What’s more, a trailer has also been released!
On Sunday, Marvel and Disney released the trailer for the second season of I Am Groot . The new installment will consist of five short episodes, all of which will debut on Disney+ on September 6.
The trailer for the second season of I Am Groot shows the titular Guardian spending time alone and unknown corners of the universe. In addition to playing with figurines, the trailer shows Groot inspecting the ice cream ship and flying alongside the Watcher.
Fans are wondering in what time period the events of the new season will take place. We recently saw an adult Groot. Series producer Brad Winderbaum commented:
I think what’s amazing about the multiverse is that you can go so many more roads. We experimented in the studio for a long time to tell stories that take place in a linear fashion, but also to go back in time and be able to show how the MCU could have flourished in the past. But what the multiverse does is allow us to look at alternate paths and other incarnations of characters, which of course happens in comics when different artists and different writers work with characters. You see them unfold in unforeseen, unexpected ways. And this is our guide when we create our projects.
