Whoever was born here is doomed to stay here until death. Whoever settles here will never leave this place again.
The town of Black Spring in the picturesque Hudson Valley could be quite a tourist attraction if it were not for the fact that it is haunted by a ghostly ghost at night. She is the Black Rock witch, a seventeenth-century body of a woman whose eyes and mouth are sewn shut. Blind and mute, she wanders the streets, enters selected houses. There she stands by the children’s beds, staying awake until the very morning. Everyone knows that if a witch ever opens her eyes, the consequences will be dire.
The elders have imposed a kind of quarantine on the city – they use the most modern surveillance techniques, so nothing and no one can get out of Black Spring, and the fact that it is haunted must remain a closely guarded secret. But young people are fed up with forced confinement, break strict rules in frustration and reveal a terrible truth.
The book was delighted by Stephen King and George RR Martin. You can find more information here . Thomas Olde Heuvelt and his newest title are recommended for long evenings.
