As Black Panther has quickly become the storytelling building block in the MCU, this means that a Wakanda series on Disney + seems inevitable. According to information from the Panther manufacturer , this may be later than some might have expected.
Marvel introduced moviegoers to the world of Wakanda during the story of Black Panther, a fictional state that has since become one of the main MCU locations. Due to the expansive world-building by Ryan Coogler and his film crew, Black Panther quickly became an elementary part of the Marvel universe. Recent reports have already suggested that the Kingdom of Wakanda series will focus on the character Okoye (Danai Gurira). Now Black Panther producer Nate Moore has opened the door to a possible release date.
Due to the amount of time and attention devoted to this movie and the Ironheart series , it’s probably not as far away as people would like, but there are certainly some great ideas that Ryan and I still chat about. So we’ll see how far we can go with that.
Moore said in a recent interview with Collider .
Still from the movie “Black Panther”. Marvel Studios
As part of a new deal with Disney, Coogler along with Proximity Media are responsible for producing the Ironheart. Due to the filmmaker’s increasingly tight schedule, Moore added that he and Coogler both look forward to receiving Black Panther: Wakanda in my heart. Only after that will they decide whether the third movie in the series will take place.
This is a good question. Honestly, I try not to avoid answering them. We really want to see viewers embrace the video before we make a decision. Of course, there are already ideas that we have spun around about what a third movie could be, if we can make it. However, until the second premiere takes place, we are approaching the matter a bit cautiously. We don’t want to say hop because you never know what’s going to happen.
Moore continued.
During Wakanda in My Heart , Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the guards of Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba) fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers following the death of King T’Challa. As the Wakandans move forward, the heroes must start working with the help of Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda. It is not yet known how the Angels of the North will connect to history.
Black Panther: Wakanda in My Heart will debut on the big screen on November 11.
