Sony and Guerrilla Games unveil the first details for the upcoming sequel to its exclusive game, Horizon Zero Dawn. We know the approximate release date as well as some preliminary information about the world.
Yesterday, a video appeared on the PlayStation YouTube channel, during which the creators explained some important issues regarding their new game. Thus, we learned, among others, when we can more or less expect the premiere of the title in question. The material has the date 2021. Unfortunately, we do not know if it is the first half of the year, or maybe we will have to wait a little longer until the last two quarters.
Either way, that’s not all. The director, Mathijs de Jonge, shared some interesting information with the fans. We learned that Forbidden West will take us to a whole new territory that will stretch from Utah to the Pacific. We will visit not only beaches and coasts, but also ruined cities, deserts and mountain areas. In the exploration of these places, we will be helped by the ability to dive, which, unlike the first part, has Aloy. The map itself is to be slightly larger than its predecessor. Importantly, during our journey we will encounter dozens of new, diverse machines. The game is also supposed to take full advantage of the speed of the console’s disk and ensure the lack of loading screens during fast travel and loading checkpoints.
