This week, the long-awaited Harry Potter RPG Hogwarts Legacy has received a new trailer. There is less than a month left until the premiere on February 10th. The trailer in question takes viewers through the famous magic academy and its surrounding areas. Everything is visible from the perspective of an owl flying with a letter. From the bird’s eye view, in addition to the locations known to the fans, we will see scenes of fights with opponents, which the players will later face in the game. The latest trailer contains only scenes in film form and does not show any new materials from the gameplay itself. At the moment, in terms of gameplay, a 30-minute gameplay video published a month earlier is available for those interested .
The trailer available below begins with a mysterious figure tying a letter to an owl, which then travels through locations such as the Great Hall. He also meets characters known from the universe, such as Nearly Headless Nick. There are also completely new characters, such as Professor Matilda Weasley, one of the key characters in the game with whom the main character will interact. After visiting the castle, the owl comes to the Forbidden Forest, full of giant spiders and other dangerous creatures. Tension builds from scene to scene as we witness the deadly curse of Avada Kedavra being cast by a masked wizard and a fire-breathing dragon. At the very end of the trailer, the owl delivers a message to what turns out to be a player-controlled character.
This is a pretty nice overview of the new installment of Hogwarts. Although players have still not seen the official map of the world, apparently we are waiting for numerous and refined locations full of details known from books and movies.
Before the premiere of the trailer, interested people got to know m.in. details on the graphic settings offered by Hogwarts Legacy, as well as some of the voice actors who have joined the cast. These include, for example, Lesley Nicol (Matilda Weasley) or Jason Anthony (Nearly Headless Nick). The big surprise was Simon Pegg ( Star Trek, The Boys ) who will lend his voice to Phineas Nigellus Black, the headmaster of Hogwarts.
