The main character of the One Piece manga and anime . He is the founder and captain of the infamous and powerful Straw Hat crew, as well as their strongest fighter. His lifetime dream is to become the king of pirates by finding the title treasure of One Piece left by the late Gol D. Roger.
Luffy made a name for himself for his equally pirate misdeeds of challenging the seven royal warriors of the seas, the navy and four emperors, as well as for committing high-profile crimes and acting against the Global Government.
