The Hengal publishing house is preparing a real treat for fans of traditional RPGs. Work is underway to publish the third edition of Szymon Piecha’s textbook, Agonia – A Grim Role-playing Game . As the title suggests, the author aims at dark climates, which it was decided to express with the unusual setting of the game and gadgets. Everything will be black and white to emphasize the gloom of this world. The game also uses the most “painful” K4 dice for players to feel the inconvenience of living in the world of Exidium. The action of this role-playing game takes place in the world of Exidium, which is flooded with blood from the wounds of the dying god Kruentis, chained to the heavens. The players play Wanderers who try to make this cruel world a little better. Unfortunately, the devil’s armies of Re-Vanarka, the last red baron, and … other players and the leaders are standing in the way.
The world of Exidium can be compared to the darkness of the Middle Ages. There are many creatures from legends and myths here, people live in constant fear and superstition. There is no magic or elves here, you have to survive with your wits, strength and tools that you obtain or create yourself.
Most of the action will take place on the so-called The Unremembered Lands, a land divided into hundreds of smaller lands ruled by nobles. There are no longer any huge kingdoms or states, the earth is torn apart by devils on the one hand, and by the political games of the current rulers on the other.
