A film adaptation of the BioShock shooter series is being made. Netflix will be responsible for creating a game-based production.
Rumors about the planned adaptation of BioShock , a shooter set in the dystopian reality of the 1960s, have finally been confirmed. Netflix has partnered with K and Take-Two Interactive to produce an adaptation of the game series. It is not known whether the film will focus on the events of the first game or rather tell a different or even original story from the underwater city of Rapture. Knowing Netflix, it is unlikely to be a faithful adaptation.
No details have been released, so we don’t know any names of the actors or the cast of the upcoming production yet. Given the scant amount of information disclosed, we cannot expect a release any time soon.
