Here comes “Brancalonia”, or Dungeons and Lasagne on the basis of the fifth edition of “Dungeons and Dragons”

The fundraiser for the Polish edition of Brancalonia , the “arch-Italian” setting for the 5th edition of the world’s most popular role-playing game, is slowly coming to an end . This extremely interesting add-on allows you to enjoy the D&D mechanics in the realities of medieval fantasy, set in an imaginary version of the world we know, the center of which is Italy.

It’s not too late

GRAmel Books, known on the Polish publishing market, is currently collecting money for an unofficial addition to the cult role-playing game, Dungeons & Dragons . Thanks to Brancalonia,  we will be able to taste the spaghetti fantasy atmosphere and enjoy Italian taverns. We managed to collect PLN 50,565, which is 101% of the assumed goal. The creators are waiting for support for 3 more days, and in return they offer us a lot of good. The first prize can be won for as little as PLN 70, and it includes digital versions of Brancalonia and Macaroniconand their conversion to the rules of the Savage Worlds mechanics, and that’s enough to enjoy this spaghetti fantasy in two systems. There are also all the thresholds unlocked during the campaign, so the number of rewards is constantly increasing. However, probably many of you will agree with me that the use of PDFs, although comfortable, is somewhat anti-climatic and their physical equivalents are much more handy during sessions. These are up for grabs for PLN 170.

Full graze

And that’s not all. If, like me, you think that if you go into such additions, then Ghulash is something for you. This is the highest support threshold, which includes: Brancalonia  and Macaronicon  – both in hardcover, all unlocked additional thresholds in PDF format, Pechowiec everyday no. 0, Convert to Savage Worlds rules in print, Great Book of the Magnificent Mauro, A3 maps, printable character cards, maps and throwing dice tray and game master screen All these elements are more than enough to enjoy the wonderful adventures lived in Brancalonia and maybe you do not plan to use some of them today, but take my word for it, when you get involved in this world, you will either spit in your chin that you did not go all the way or enjoy a successful investment. An additional reason why the selection of the prize should be carefully considered is the question of their availability. They are strictly limited and can only be obtained during the collection.

Europa > Forgotten Realms

Niedługo przed wystartowaniem zbiórki na Brancalonię, rozpocząłem razem z moją grupą kampanię Lamentations of the Flame Princess and we agreed that we would play it on the terms of the 5th edition. It turned out that moving the setting to medieval Europe was enough to have a great time in D&D again . The advantages of such a solution are numerous. Players do not have to delve into the secrets of Toril or ask the game master about them, and instead can rely on much more common historical knowledge and better visualize the reality of the world presented. You can easily refer to the stereotypes describing representatives of different nationalities, and thus give the characters depth and credibility. What’s more, I think Brancalonia  will also be an interesting springboard for dedicated shooters, because the world of spaghetti fantasy is very different from the standard fairy-tale high fantasy vision most associated withDungeons & Dragons . This add-on also contains additional rules and restrictions on creating and developing player characters, so fans of mechanical combinatorics will have fun.

I’m in, and you?

To sum up, Brancalonia  is a setting with additional rules that allow you to play amazing and rogue adventures in the extraordinary world of Italian spaghetti western, where instead of revolvers, our adventurers reach for swords or whatever they will have at hand, all on the well-known and popular mechanics 5 -th edition of Dungeons & Dragons . GRAmel Books convinced me and I supported this project myself, and if I managed to interest you in this topic at least a little, then do not hesitate any longer and check the details on pomocam.to .
