8. The first battle for Hogwarts
One of the most important and touching scenes in Harry Potter was when Albus Dumbledore died. The filming also coped with this topic very well, but there was no battle that took place in the castle between Aurors and Death Eaters. One can even get the impression that the servants of the Dark Lord encountered no resistance. Despite the fact that they actually got to the castle undetected, the teaching staff did not sleep through their visit, as it is shown in the film. It is true that the creators gave up this thread for the greater “wow” effect of the final battle for Hogwarts, but the sixth installment of the series lost a lot on this decision.

7. Percy Weasley’s career
An extremely important thread in the history of the Weasley family was the moment when Percy, after graduating from Hogwarts, becomes involved in activities at the Ministry of Magic. The book described in detail the ambitions of the hero who, for his career, was able to even renounce his loved ones. He then got a job directly at the Minister, which causes a conflict between him and the rest of the family. The movies only tackle this theme by showing the character of Percy alongside Cornelius Fudge in just a few scenes, but the situation remains unclear, leaving viewers confused. Especially considering that Weasley himself is not making a point at the time.

6. “He asked calmly “
It is impossible to be a fan of Harry Potter and not to laugh every time Dumbledore, outraged, bursts into the room, practically throwing himself at the terrified fourteen-year-old. Even aside from the fact that Harry is not a spellmaster and has been having a hard time learning an ordinary summoning spell (let alone fooling a magic artifact), introducing such strong emotions completely changes the tone of Rowling’s scene. The director, as the most intelligent wizard in the world of magic, knows that Harry had no opportunity to submit his candidacy and, above all, believes in him. It was Albus’ unwavering faith in the main character that was the basis of their relationship. He was also extremely calm, not losing his cold blood in the worst of situations,

5. Relationship with Dobby
Dobby, the good house elf, is loved by everyone. All the more it is a pity that the creators decided to include it only in two parts and one two-second shutter in the fourth part of the series. The very scene of Dobby’s death in his friend’s arms only makes sense when you look at his relationship with Harry from the book’s perspective. After leaving the Malfoy Manor, Dobby eventually ends up at Hogwarts as the first leprechaun in history to charge for his work. Living in the same castle as Harry, he created a much closer relationship with him than the films in which the dwarf shows up unexpectedly after several years of absence.

4. Unfinished Dursleys plot
Like any other fan, I have never had a special affection for the Dursley family. Nevertheless, the scene of their farewell to Harry closed this thread and its absence in the film is a huge loss for the plot. It was the first (and last) moment Dudley had openly sympathized with his cousin. His simple gesture of shaking Harry’s hand makes the reader realize that a very important stage in the life of the main character has ended. Only a final farewell could have prompted the cousins to such reconciliation, which makes the scene extremely touching, despite the tumultuous relationship between the boys. There is also a lack of farewell to Petunia, which was captured superficially by the scene that was later cut out. Throughout all the films, its plot has been significantly reduced to the role of the “inferior” sister, while Rowling showed the other side of the character as always neglected,

3. The last duel with Voldemort
This is a scene that, admittedly, the creators did not skip, but modified it, losing its greatest sense at the same time. In the film, it was decided to weave a few additional “goodies”, such as, for example, the Dark Lord floating in the air and suffocating his opponent … .. with robes tentacles. Originally, Voldemort died in front of everyone, publicly humiliated, he fought Harry as equals, both equally mortal, and most importantly – his dead body was the ultimate proof that the Dark Lord is dead and will never return. The film does not give viewers such a closed ending. Due to the fact that he actually dissolved into thin air, there is still a shadow of uncertainty as to whether his death was final, reminiscent of the events of Godric’s Valley, when the dead Tom Riddle was also not seen by anyone.

2. The relationship between Tonks and Lupine
The failure to develop the plot of Tonks and Lupine’s relationship is definitely one of the cardinal mistakes of the creators. Were it not for the question “How my husband says something …” uttered by the heroine at the beginning of the seventh part, it would be hard to realize that something really connects them – especially marriage. Their relationship, which had already begun in the Half-Blood Prince, touched on many important aspects. Most of all, it brought closer the sense of exclusion Remus had struggled with all his life and showed the reader that everyone, no matter what, is worth loving. Affected by the lycanthropy curse, the hero did not believe that he deserved affection and kept pushing Tonks away from him, not wanting to complicate her life with his affliction. An extremely important scene was also the appearance of Lupine in Harry’s hideout and a quarrel between the characters, when Remus decided to leave the pregnant Tonks. It was one of the sadder moments in the series, and especially important for several reasons: Most of all, Remus was the closest Harry had to his family. He was also one of James’s best friends. The main character simply could not come to terms with the fact that Lupine betrayed values so important for a friend who sacrificed his life in defense of his family. In the film about the son of Lupine and Tonks, we find out only after the death of the couple. How did Harry, who had been in hiding for months, know about their son’s birth? This creators did not explain. The main character simply could not come to terms with the fact that Lupine betrayed values so important for a friend who sacrificed his life in defense of his family. 1. Creation of the character of Ginny Weasley
If there’s anything I can’t forgive the Harry Potter adaptationthis will be the death of Ginny Weasley. There is enough material on this issue for me to write a separate essay about it – especially with my sympathy for the heroine, who was simply wronged by the film. Rowling portrays her as an energetic, highly intelligent, down-to-earth girl, and in the movies you get the impression that Ginny is just… watching. Apart from all the unnecessary, highly embarrassing scenes, such as tying Harry’s shoelaces or feeding him a cookie, the script devotes far too little attention to her character, and it was after all the heroine who, along with Neville, initiated the resistance against the Death Eaters at Hogwarts, no fearing the consequences and despite the ban, she returned to fight the final battle. Apart from the hair color, it’s hard to find any similarities between

Although there are of course many more examples of missed scenes, it would be impossible to transfer the full story to the big screen with such a limited time. Nevertheless, I am convinced that I will return to the films many more times, waiting for my lost Hogwarts letter.
