More than twelve years after the release of the last episode, Valve returns to the world of Half-Life with a game for VR goggles. The company promises a full-fledged game.
As promised, Valve today released the trailer for Half-Life: Alyx – the next installment of the iconic shooter series, but this time for VR goggles. The plot was set between the events of Half-Life and Half-Life 2 . As the title suggests, we will play as Alyx Vance, who, together with her father, will create a resistance movement known from the second part in City 17.
Importantly, on the official website of the production, the creators emphasize that we are to receive a full-length game, and the full-length slogan suggests that Half-Life: Alyx will offer a campaign with content similar to other parts and representatives of the genre.
Traditionally, the core of the game will be shootings, but there will also be stealth and exploration. Interestingly, Valve intends to provide modding tools that will allow players to share their levels with others. The production is powered by the Source 2 engine.
Half-Life: Alyx will be released in March 2020. The game will require a headset supported by Steam VR.
