Guardians of the Gaming – recenzja „CD-Action”

As the galaxy is guarded by heroes, more mutations of terrible zombies appear on Earth, and humans meet in a new world. The next issue of “CD-Action” is packed to the brim with loud titles. And what exactly? See for yourself!

The year is inexorably drawing to an end, snow, although still sluggish, is already appearing in our gardens, and these are ideal conditions for spending free time, relaxing with games or reading a bit about them. The next issue of “CD-Action” looks at us from the cover through the eyes of a bloodthirsty zombie. It is no wonder, after all, the chosen ones could finally see a sample of the long-awaited production of the Polish studio.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human undoubtedly had to occupy a special place in this issue of the magazine. The combination of parkour with hacking stubbornly shuffling dead men, according to the editor, turned out even better than in the successful one, and such news definitely fuel the appetite. Of course, this is not the only review of the game that is yet to be released on the pages of the magazine. It is worth looking at the description of Starship Troopers: Terran Command , a production that draws full handfuls from the cult film with the Polish title Space Soldiers . The text, written in the form of military propaganda, perfectly reflects the atmosphere of this work, which stands out from the original book as much as the original on the silver screen.

Although the cover was taken over by a not very fresh dead man, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is undoubtedly the star of this issue . A lot of humor, licensed music and characterful characters are something we love our Guardians for in every form. Although the game is completely different from the film version of the colorful gang, it is also fun and shows that there is room for superhero productions after the Avengers mishap .

Zombies are welcomed again on the pages of “CD-Action” in the review of Back 4 Blood , the spiritual heir of Left 4 Dead , although the game did not manage to avoid major and minor problems. It is different with The Riftbreaker , a successful mix of shooters and towerdefence from the Polish team ExorStudios, which conquered Steam for a reason. The revival of the old brand in the form of Metroid Dread turned out to be extremely successful , which resulted in receiving a round tense from the editor Otto! In addition, we can also read about New World , Forza Horizon 5 , Alan Wake Remastered , Age of Empires IV , Disciples Liberation ,Crisis Remastered Trilogy … It’s definitely something to bite into!

Did you know that the Tomb Rider brand is twenty-five years old this year? The magazine’s editorial staff did not miss this fact and prepared an article about her rather crazy beginnings for this occasion. The topic turned out to be so extensive that we can expect its continuation in subsequent issues. It is also worth pausing for a moment and focusing on the b-side column, which raised a rather interesting issue of activating women in gamedev. Speaking of working in the production of games, a lot of space has been devoted to the issue of proper treatment of employees. Has the disclosure of scandals like the situation in Activision Blizzard, which can safely be called a sick one, changed the policy of companies and improved this condition? We can read about this at length in the article We need to talk about gamedev .
