The third film about the adventures of a team of space heroes has a script ready. At least that’s what Karen Gillan says.
The role of Nebula in the MCU is on a tour promoting the new installment of Jumanji . During one of the meetings with the press, Gillan was asked about the future of the Guardians of the Galaxy and admitted that James Gunn had a script ready for the third installment of the series. Moreover, the actress has already had the opportunity to read it. In her opinion, it is amazing and wonderful.
Gillan also told a bit about working on Avengers: Endgame . Like many other cast members, she also didn’t have a full version of the script, but the part she got was enough to work freely on the set. It’s still amazing how the filmmakers hid the details of the story even from the cast, just to avoid leaks.
The actress also mentioned the development of her collaboration with Marvel. Initially, her work on the first part of Guardians of the Galaxy was to be limited to only eight shooting days, and Nebula was lost in an early version of the story. Fortunately for Gillan and subsequent productions with her participation, this did not happen, and the heroine she played became one of the leading characters in the MCU.
For now, the movie Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has no officially announced release date. It is known that James Gunn will not start working properly on the film until the end of The Suicide Squad .
