James Gunn posted a 2016 photo on Instagram, where actress Laura Haddock (Meredith Quill from the movie) poses with his mom, who was the inspiration for the creation of Meredith Quill. Just under this post , Gunn confessed in one of the comments how long the photos for the long-awaited production will take. It turns out there is only eight days of filming left.
The director also shared his thoughts on the production and actors in an emotional Twitter post:
Honestly, they’re great, I love this crew and cast. However, there is a lot of sadness and almost daily tears because I know this is the last Guardian movie for many of us.
The film features Will Poulter as Adam Warlock and Chukwudi Iwuji ( Peacemaker ), whose protagonist has yet to be revealed. In an interview with Variety, he revealed a few details about the character he played, comparing him to Clemson Murn, in whom he played Peacemaker :
This character is completely different from Murn. It requires completely different things from me.
We have to wait for Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3 until 2023. For now, we have to look for new information from the creators and actors.
