Yesterday Square Enix released a video on its YouTube, in which Steve Szczepkowski, senior sound director, talks about the music we will hear in the game Marvel: Guardians of the Galaxy .
Music is an integral part of the game. Guardians is actually a rock’n’roll band. They are a bunch of misfits who have found a common goal. In Guardians, music is not just the background, as is the case with regular soundtracks. It is like rock’n’roll – sights, sounds, smells. Those who catch it will find it right here.
The music for the game was composed by Richard Jacques. Szczepkowski compares the main musical theme of Marvel: Guardians of the Galaxy created by Jacgues to the film soundtrack. Just watching someone else play gives the impression that you are watching a movie. It is moving, suspenseful music that will provide the players with the most beautiful emotions. The game is full of wonderful melodies that will take the playing experience to a whole new level.
The soundtrack to the game will surely be loved by fans of the 80s music. We will hear rock songs and songs from the genre of pop, new wave and completely new music of the invented band Star-Lord, created entirely by Steve Szczepkowski himself.
Marvel: Guardians of the Galaxy will premiere on October 26 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox X Series, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
