The digitization department has prepared an interesting proposal for students during the period of quarantine and suspended classes in schools.
Since Monday, all educational and cultural institutions in Poland have suspended their activities in connection with the coronavirus pandemic. The Department of Digitization has decided to meet students who may be bored due to the suspension of classes in schools, which has been suspended (so far) until March 25. I’m talking about the Grarantanna program. As the name suggests, it is mostly aimed at young players. The Ministry, together with the Teatrikon Foundation, has prepared a set of attractions that can be taken care of after completing remote school classes.
These include RPG sessions conducted on the Internet daily by game masters from Lans Macabre and Play Kolektyw. On the other hand, the Lublin GameDev Foundation team has prepared a series of webinars, during which participants will be able to gain knowledge about video game design, prototyping and the use of the Unity engine.
Competitions with prizes were also prepared. From the players’ perspective, the most interesting of them seems to be the five-day Game Jam Online, which will start this Saturday (March 21). A day later, a competition will start in the extremely popular Minecraft game , in which the players’ task will be to recreate the most popular architectural objects – alone or in a team. Participants can also face a series of historical puzzles and quizzes.
More information can be found on the official website of the program.
