All? Everywhere? At the same time?
The latest issue of the journal is the result of several years of work by several authors whom we had the opportunity to meet while reading the previous issues of the semi-annual. Anyway, readers will also be familiar with the heroes of the story entitled LandsbergOn: Watchmen of Gorzów . It takes us to one of the largest cities in the Lubuskie Voivodeship, where hell is breaking loose. Various demons, monsters and beasts, inhabiting alternative worlds, begin to emerge from the opening portals. Fortunately, Major Stecki and his men are already experienced in dealing with the horrors of nightmares. They can also count on the support of several newcomers from the past and the future. However, they will not be at the center of events. The fate of Gorzów will lie in the hands of young people.
Avengers?
When reading the latest issue of the magazine, Marvel comics and movies will certainly come to mind. And rightly so. Even the editor-in-chief himself mentions them in the introduction and points out that they were a source of inspiration. Fortunately, we do not have plagiarism here, but a loose reference to the world of pop culture. After all, not only Stan Lee combined the universe and heroes from various worlds.
After reading the whole story, I must admit that the idea was good, and the execution did not disappoint. It is interesting, intriguing and you can get involved in the adventure. The characters themselves have their own personality traits, each one has been given a character and given a moment so that the audience can experience the whole story with them. Anyway, people who have had the opportunity to read the previous issues will know all the characters perfectly. I have to admit, it was very nice to see them again, all together. To make the reading even easier, a map with the most important points of Gorzów has been placed on the first page, and if that’s not enough for you, you can also find a link to the interactive city plan.
Unfortunately, I also have some attention. The story is told too fast in my opinion. Although we managed to avoid chaos or inconsistency, sometimes events are a bit meaningless. For example: the team gathers on the principle of “come with us if you want” and we already have another member who goes with the others for basically no reason. Of course, I understand that this is due to publishing restrictions. It’s just a story on a few pages, not a thick book where there would be time to expand all the threads, but it’s still a bit far-fetched. The combination of Major Stecki’s soldiers with Wojuta is much better, between whom you can feel the chemistry right away and they have a clear reason to act side by side. Perhaps this is what happens because the text has several authors and not all of them were able to create an appropriate relationship between the characters in a few sentences. One can hope that the next project of this type will be better.

And where did the initiative to create such a project and create the Landsberg Universe come from? Well, we have just received the tenth issue of the semi-annual, which also celebrates its 5th anniversary! It was an occasion to celebrate and it was done brilliantly. Despite a few shortcomings, the crossover can be considered successful and confidently recommend it. By the way, it is also worth reaching for the previous issues to get to know all the heroes better. I am lucky that I have every ” LandsbergON ” in my collection and I feel somehow connected with the team from Gorzów. Of course, I still remain impartial when reviewing, but at the same time I am glad that the NOVUM Associationdid not give up, but even developed, and thanks to that we also got “Imaginarium”. So I wish all the creators perseverance, success and more ideas, and I encourage everyone else to read!
