Eric Williams, director of the game God of War , recently gave an interview in which he unequivocally stated that the series is saying goodbye to the Nordic gods. At first, this fact might have surprised the biggest fans of the brand, but it is not without reason that the upcoming game is subtitled Ragnarok. This event is the end of the world and the sunset of the gods, so naturally it must also mark the end of the story of Kratos and Atreus.
The information provided by the game director raises some questions. The most important issue is the future of the brand – Sony will most likely not want to put the god of war back on the track. This means that on the next occasion we will see Kratos in a completely different part of the world, but we will not soon find out where the hero will go this time. Studio Santa Monica is currently focusing on the upcoming production and has not shared any information about the future.
God of War: Ragnarok will appear in 2022 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
