Girls can also be firemen – review of the movie “Non-extinguishing”

The fire- fighting is a story about Georgia, who wanted to join the fire brigade from an early age. The animation is not only a story about maturing and finding your own path, but also great material showing the heroism and courage of firefighters. Every toddler interested in the subject of the fire brigade will be satisfied with the screening.

 

Is it worth following your dreams?

The action of the film takes place in the first half of the 20th century, when some professions were still not fully accessible to women. Such were the realities and hardly anyone wanted to fight them, hardly anyone wanted to change them, which is very clear in Niezgaszalnych . The main character, however, does not agree with this world order. Georgia dreamed of a career as a firefighter from an early age. She wanted to go in the same direction as her father. Fortunately, the teenager does not give up and stubbornly pursues her goal, which is inspiring. Everyone should follow an example from her determination.

Women are strong and brave

Another important theme of the Unqualified People is the emancipation of women. Georgia couldn’t join the fire department, she only managed to do it disguised as Joe, a mustachioed boy with great muscles. The girl fought with all her might, finally took off her disguise and managed to pave the way for women to this profession, being the first female fireman. This is certainly a wise message, you need to show children women who are not only beautiful, fragrant and girly dressed, but also those who are strong and are able to cope with physical work. It is worth noting, however, that the plot with Georgia disguising as a man in order to get into the ranks of the guards is a plot that is quite predictable and has appeared many times in the cinema. You can find him, for example, in such a Disney classic as Mulan(most children know this animation, which may spoil the surprise effect), but even in our Polish productions, such as Zmiennicy . Thus, if you have seen this theme more than once and for some reason it did not suit you, then Unstoppable may not be a movie for you.

An important message of the animation is also this thought: it is good to change the world, but only when others do not suffer from it. It’s worth taking it to heart.

Heroes are among us

The animation depicts firefighters with due honor as real heroes saving people from oppression. Undoubtedly, this is reason enough to show this production to kids so that they can see how demanding this profession is and how heroic firefighters can be.

On top of that, the animation itself is really nice. Aesthetics, pleasant colors and unique character designs will delight many children. Polish dubbing sounds good, the voices are matched to the characters so that they are pleasant to listen to.

Non- extinguishable is definitely not a big breakthrough in the children’s animation scene, although it is still a movie worth watching. A wise message, aesthetic appearance and heroes who are easy to sympathize with make the screening a nice time.
