Italian video game publisher 505 Games has officially announced the release date for its upcoming first-person action game, Ghostrunner 2.
As early as 2021, 505 Games revealed that they plan to release a sequel to Ghostrunner in the near future . However, it was only this year, at Sony’s PlayStation Showcase event, that the trailer for Ghostrunner 2 was presented for the first time , along with the release period in 2023. Ever since that happened, we’ve been rubbing our hands in anticipation of a release date, and now we’ve got it.
Today on social media, 505 Games announced that Ghostrunner 2 will debut on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC this fall on October 26. 505 admitted that this news had already been leaked somewhere else, so they decided to announce the release date themselves. No new trailers or gameplay snippets were made available with this announcement, 505 only posted a concept image of the game in their post.
We’ll most likely get another fuller look at Ghostrunner 2 soon, especially with Gamescom taking place this week . Given that the 505 only seemed to split the release date due to the leak, it suggests to us that a larger Ghostrunner 2 reveal may still be planned for the coming days.
